guys how many pages do you study every day? i could only go through 20-25 pages… kinda slowly…
Depends which day it is. This weekend I am averaging 0 pages per day.
it’s embarrasing, but i do only about 12-15 pages in schweser a day. taking notes and doing all the concept checkers takes a long time… but it’s what’s worked in the past so i don’t want to change it up too much now…
I am thinking of ditching my plan of reading the CFAI texts and going just to schweser. My original plan would have me finishing the texts around Mar 15th (around 20 pages a day). At that point I was going to go to schweser and then practice tests. I am not sure I will have enough time to pull of that schedule. I have only used schweser in the past, but everybody has me freaked with the “L3 is different” talk. Unsure at this point. : /
i only study duriny my commute in subway these days… and i can finish about 10-15 pages per day
depends on the day really…on week days i hardly study 15 pages ( that too i manage to open book) on weekend my i do study 40-50 pages…but i am not at all happy with my prgress as i am still not ready consistently…
- Unfortunelately. Still need to get going but I did watch 2 Schweser videos last weekend. My first action since early October…
Different study methods work best for different people, but here is my routine: For Level 1, using Schweser only, I averaged 30-50 pages/weekday, while taking subway and about 150 pages/weekend. Some books were harder than others, e.g. I averaged 10-15 pages/weekday on FSA, but finished Ethics and Stats sections in one evening. You don’t want to rush through material because you want to understand the material and retain the knowledge. Cramming for exam and forgetting everything will not help you in the long run. Duh! However, if you are already familiar with certain concepts and only refreshing them, browse over the material and devote more time to questions.

This year (a few sections into Book 2 by Dec 30th) is the closest I’ve come to accomplishing this feat. My goal would be, or rather IS, to have the entire CFAI text read by the beginning of my Schweser weekly class on Jan 20. Not likely to get that far, but I should at least have half the text read *(maybe)*. Then I can just focus on keeping up with class using the Schweser notes. Last year I got really jammed up trying to read CFAI and Schweser all in the same week for each class.
