How would you Celebrate passing CFA L2 ?

“I demand an apology…”

You’re on analyst forum brah, I don’t think you’ll get a serious response to that. Also- I don’t roll on shabbos.

SHOMER ****ING SHABBOS.

It’s the day of rest, Donnie.

Yeah cool it guys. It’s only a CFA exam and yes, while we should celebrate if we pass because of the hardwork we put in, I do agree with our Israeli brother that it doesn’t add much weight from the employer perspective for experienced professionals (recent personal experience with the Big 4)…for entry level jobs it would probably add more weight.

Like many CFA charterholders have said, even after you earn the right to use those 3 initials, it doesn’t guarantee you the golden ticket to that lucrative finance job. But I do believe that it will add much more weight than someone who doesn’t have it.

I think EXT was just trying to point out this distinction.

Can somebody already ban that troll please, if only for that comment vs. waleed? Thanks.

I just love how “this is what happened to me” somehow equates to “this is how it is”. Or telling it like is. Or keeping it real. Or however these bitter Charterholders phrase it when they come to these boards to demean candidates. It’s really pathetic and it is most certainly not only this topic or this one troll that I’ve seen it in.

Everyone’s mileage varies. There are unemployed Charterholders. There are people who got significant raises or new jobs after passing Level 2.

I celebrate when a plate of food is handed to me that has bacon on it. I celebrate naps. I think I’ll be well within my right to celebrate if I pass today. Thanks for caring.

I strongly condemn above fascist comments and I strongly demand action by the moderators. I do not kill children in Palestine nor do I endorse innocent killings anywhere in the world by any one. I am astonished to see such a bigoted person on this knowledge forum.

Just ignore him, bro … and good luck everybody.

It’s always quite entertaining to read comments on this forum. Funny how an ibanker in a city of with a half million people telling how passing a CFA level 2 is not worth celebrating. Though I give you credit for making your city known, I guess that’s one way to go about it.

Gluck everyone, and I think keep reading comments on this forum after passing can be somewhat celebratory, so that’s my plan.

You attacked me by telling me I don’t value my life… maybe because I am Israeli.

How am I demeaning candidates?

My point is perfectly clear, there’s nothing to celebrate if you pass level 2 (it’s not going to do anything for you from a professional standpoint - you can’t even imply partial designation, you either have the CFA charter or you don’t)

Just because people put in hundreds of hours to pass the very difficult level 2 exam, they’re not in position of entitlement by any means – I guess it comes naturally with being defensive and offensive toward people who have a view based on a reasonable/adequate basis through experience - like myself.

Again, not sure how you make the connection between things that actually matter (food) to a CFA exam.

Hope everyone passed and will be moving onto level 3

Party at my crib, everyones invited celebrate except the troll. Please bring things that matter. Girls, Beer, and Food. Preferable in that order.

This is literally a flat out lie as we have had numerous people on this forum post that after completing Level 2 they either got raises or new jobs.

But that’s not even the point. Do you even know what the word “celebration” means? People can simply celebrate the fact that they don’t have to re-take the exam and are moving one step closer to gaining the charter. That alone is cause for a celebration. Many months of hard work paid off. I don’t think we’re all assuming we’re going to be vaulted into the promised land because of a L2 pass email, but it’s still a darn good reason to enjoy oneself for today. Sorry if that offends you.

The connection to bacon was a joke. But you seem to have the personality of a dead moth on top of being a bigot. Enjoy the rest of your miserable day (life).

I’m celebrating like a madman.

Again, I never said not to celebrate the fact that you don’t have to re-write the exam. And congratulations for moving onto level 3!

You seem like a mean person to attack me like that, though.

Keep burning loser while we all CFA L2 winners go out there to celebrate every bit of this success. And i’m already out there for it.

Is that a death threat, Taliban?

Well this is pleasant.

Agreed…this was supposed to be a positive, celebration based thread…where did it all go wrong?

Too much testosterone?

Yep, let’s lock this thread waleedhussain

It turned negative when I was being attacked by the Taliban dude who told me I don’t care about life…

Then the other guy that brought my family into this.

My post was never negative, the two clowns misconstrued my post, subsequently went on an offensive – I have every right to defend myself.

You really sound like a thin-skinned racist troller who have never ever passed CFA L2. Just for your information, those words on life by “jigsaw” are from a very very popular Hollywood thriller movie “SAW” that even we know about it in this part of the world.

If you can’t spread love, don’t spread hatred.
