i was in fact talking about entry level. some of us have graduated Uni recently, and are still looking to land first finance job. personally I have commerce degree but majored in marketing, so the CFA level 3 candidate added to my resume will likely give some credibility to my name in regards to competing with Finance undergrads who also don’t have any work experience/looking for first finance job.

No one is attacking what you’re doing, I’m just telling you that from my experience and what I see from bosses at the banks - passing level 2 is NOTHING to celebrate…although an accomplishment and a move in the right direction, again, it’s not nothing to celebrate
There is no partial designation, you either have it or you don’t, there’s a reason why CFA tells you not to exaggerate the meaning of your candidacy in the CFA program.
I get what you’re saying bro, and shalom my Israeli brother. But I’m going to take a few hours to appreciate what I’ve accomplished if when I pass. And there’s nothing wrong to look back at what you’ve accomplished while understanding you have work to do. I guess you didn’t celebrate when you had your first child (after all, you have to raise the kid), when you got that nice job (after all, you have to work), or when your significant other said yes to your wedding offer (or vice versa, because you have to live together for the rest of your life).
Long story short, celebrating your success thus far doesn’t mean you don’t keep striving (those aren’t mutually exclusive behaviors, to use a quant phrase)…and nobody is claiming they are going out and getting CFA L3 Candidate on their business cards tomorrow, so we get that the charter is a “you either have it or you don’t thing.”
Finally, and I’m letting the ghetto come out of me here – who in the **** do you think you are to tell me (and everybody else on the site) how I should feel about anything bro (especially something we put in 300-500 hours of work for)? Take that ish to another site man #TeamNoHateOverHere.

I tell you one thing, if I make it to becoming a CFA Charterholder one day, you won’t find me on these Level 2 forums the night before candidates find out their results telling them it’s no big deal if they pass… Good luck everyone, celebrate your hard work, and if you pass make sure you’re registered for the level 3 exam before you start calling yourself a level 3 candidate (you should know that from your ethics readings lol!)
I never said anything negative, I simply said passing level 2 isn’t anything to really celebrate (and I know because I’ve been there, done that, and I see it from my bosses), because employers don’t care. Then you guys started to get emotional/defensive/arrogant and started to attack me.
