I don't know how you Dec Lvel I'ers do it...

I passed in June and i started early in November, and I still think the detail of information is overwhelming to pass this june. hats off to dec level I’ers! is anyone feeling burned out, lack of motivation bc of the economy?

Sounds like you and I are in similar situations…I am feeling the crunch myself and I have been studying since October / November as well. Best, TheChad

Dec L1 here, I hate to say it, but I’m starting to feel burned out at this point. I think I started off way too fast since I thought I was late. I might take a couple of days off so I can start with a fresh mind. After 4 weeks, I’ve already cleared SS 1-9 in the Stalla guides and 1-7 in the video lectures/passmaster. On top of that, I’ve been attending the live Saturday classes which is a marathon in and of itself.

Dec 08 here… I am not feeling to burnt out yet, I have been through almost all of the schweser notes while doing the concept checkers at the end of the readings and started to do some of QBank and with only 3 months left, there is no sign of slowing down anytime soon For people that started studying in Nov, have you been going all out everyday? Do you think you started to early? I mean I have been for the past month or so cause I wanted to get through every topic and start revising from there. I know there is a lot of detail but there was also a lot of details in level 1? If I feel burnt, I usually just take the day off and don’t stress about it. I am not going to push it and start getting stressed out, cause that is what F**** me in June (Fail band 10)

i was reading private equity earlier and 20 pages into it i fell asleep for like 2 hours fuck

I dont even plan to read the CFAI text. I wrote L1 in december and I just dont feel theres enough time to read the CFAI test so Im just reading the Schweser notes and qBank.

Dec L1…tell me about it…I have stressed the whole day today, and instead ended up not doing much, other than re-write my study plan. I am in panic mode.

Stress = Motivation = Dedication = Effort = Success Show me a contented man and I’ll show you a failure. See you all in June : )

Already wasted too much time because of illness. I prefer to get burnt out now (three months) rather than later (whole one year).

CFAI text definately are a drag!

I’m a Dec 08 passer and am finding it rather difficult to get into lvl 2 mode. I’ve done a half-assed job of going through quant and econ so far but just can’t seem to get into the kind of mode I was in for lvl 1.

It’s not too bad, and if you think about it some of us have been at it for almost as long as those that started in Nov. Personally I started on Dec. 8th, and went through the entire 2008 Schweser curriculum. Got my results, ordered CFAI books, read the C&S Handbook while waiting for the books, and finished Book 3 (Corporate) just yesterday. Aiming for mid-April finish for all books, and then 1.5 months of review and practice exams.

I’m actually finding it easier than Level 1. Relatively little time passed between the Dec. exam and starting L2, so getting back into study mode wasn’t so difficult. Plus, the weather sucks, so it’s not like I want to go outside and do anything…when April/May roll around, it could be a different story.

Assume that I just started last week. How much effort do I need to put in?

Lol, you’re going to have to put in the same amount of effort as the rest of us; that is to say A LOT! The only difference being that you are more time constrained than those of us who had started earlier.

What about study smarter not harder?

first start studying, then try to be smart!!! now you are just a smart …

hehe… I already started last week. Quant and Econ are neither difficult nor deciding factors to pass L2. It is FSA, Ethic and Equity. I will use the same strategy that gets me through my Master program and Level 1: “Study hard and smart” by answering medium and hard questions. When I reach to the level where I feel comfortable to even tell what questions are coming when reading the case then I’m sure I will pass. Good luck and see you all in June (could be this June and next June).

same here. thankx to my company who fully spnsores the registration fee, the lecture and the schweser notes even, i barely study at all for gods sake, cuz i have nothing to lose really!!!
