Most likely, the partisan fight will drag on, the entire congress are eager to go back to their district for re-election, that will just “kill this bill”. The capitalism wins in the end at a painful cost. I will bet lots of money that a bill is passed by a week from Friday. I think the over/under is Wednesday next week.

Unfortunately, I’m sure it will pass. This is an election year, and the same sheeple who called their congressman to vote against the bailout on the grounds that it’s socialism for the rich will then receive their 401(k) statements and immediately call back, screaming that it’s congress’s fault that their retirement plans are tanking.
