I doubt the bailout plan will pass... Do you?

It’s pure socialism and against free market spirit…

It will pass, but with different terms.

hope not

Most likely, the partisan fight will drag on, the entire congress are eager to go back to their district for re-election, that will just “kill this bill”. The capitalism wins in the end at a painful cost. But free market economy was defended… Paulson will do down the history book as a well-regarded executive of Goldman Sachs, and an accomplish free lame duck Treasury secretary

I will bet lots of money that a bill is passed by a week from Friday. I think the over/under is Wednesday next week.

I’d certainly prefer an alternative similar to some of these proposals even though I’m not a huge fan of it either. http://mikepence.house.gov/UploadedFiles/RSC_Economic_Rescue_092908.pdf I agree something will get done, no doubt…the lobbying pressure will be too great. Final result: Lobbyists = win Constituents and the free market = lose Good Luck.

Unfortunately, I’m sure it will pass. This is an election year, and the same sheeple who called their congressman to vote against the bailout on the grounds that it’s socialism for the rich will then receive their 401(k) statements and immediately call back, screaming that it’s congress’s fault that their retirement plans are tanking.

Saul Alinsky said it best. Create hysteria in the masses to achieve government takeovers. You need to realize you are being fed BS. NO BAILOUT

will pass.not only that,in the future, free markets and short sellers will be further vilified when the bailout cushion is depleted and further regulations will be recommended.
