i feel like....

i feel like any calculation in the exam is not going to be very complicated, perhaps even straight-forward… if we encounter a problem where we need to do complicated calculation, we might have taken the wrong approach… … does anyone feel the same way???

Have you seen the threads bumped from last year (immediately following the exam). Even the eq risk premium calc caused a stir.

Have we not forgotten that one of the CFAI sample exams had you calculate the variance for a three asset portfolio? There can be long calcs in the exam. I’d be more afraid of the short ones - I would think CFAI would take these out of the “gimme” category by adding a trick in the vignette somewhere, e.g. find a way to make the CAPM inputs complicated.

i feel like chicken tonight

I still remember the real estate valuation problem from Dec '08 L1 exam… prob got the wrong answer and killed 5 minutes.

planner, what was the curveball on equity risk premium?
