Start from BoY, and you’ll be fine! I started from Dec 1, so it gives one month of studying more, but you can still make it if you manage your time well. Good luck!

I’m sorry–is this the Level 1 thread, or the Level 3 thread? I thought everybody here was smart/disciplined enough to get through Level 2, and knew what they needed to do to get past the last hurdle.

Do you need any advice on what calculator to use? Or whether you can bring a mechanical pencil?

I have to agree. Could you provide more context to help with the question? What did you do for L2? Do you think L3 will be more difficult for you? I have more of an analyst background so L2 I expect will be easier than L3 for me bacause I do not have a PM background. I have added to the time it took to pass L2 and added extra which sets my goal at 350 hours. I don’t think the start date matters as much as the hours. At this stage in the game, you can put as many hours as you want with a plan.

As a retaker, you have plenty of time. I would just advise to give yourself plenty of time to review and work on the AM question answer format. Knowing the material well may not be enough. You have practice conveying you know it in a clear and concise manner for the AM portion.

Does anybody know if I can bring my iPhone into the exam with me? That way I can listen to music AND use my HP 10B2 simulator at the same time!

As long as it’s on the CFA-approved iPhone list, you’ll be fine.

Schweser’s 16-week online course only starts in January, so that should be a pretty good indication that starting now is plenty of time - if you stick to the study schedule.

For retakers, starting now is also plenty of time. Worked for me when I re-took L2…

Idk man, I’m a retaker, who has gone through 2 books 2-3 times and I’m panicking like hell. I think it will be very difficult to start now, but may the force be with you…

I figure that if I can’t do it this year, I’ll probably never be able to do it. So if I don’t pass this year, I doubt I’ll take it again–at least for a long time.
