I passed, the mock!

Test 11/6 - Morning = 64% Afternoon = 66% Test 11/13 - Morning = 67% Afternoon = 68% Test 11/19 - Morning = 67% Afternoon = 73% Test 11/21 - Morning = 79% Afternoon = 73 % I’m very excited/relieved/nervous/anxious. I plan on getting in 5 more mock test: Wednesday, Friday, Sunday, next Wednesday, and next Friday. Hopefully I can keep my upward momentum. How is everyone else doing?

Which mocks are these dude?

9 Mocks is a little overboard IMO. I would focus more time on reviewing areas you are weak in and maybe only take 2-3 more mocks at most.

I’m doing QBank + The 3 Schweser Book Tests. I was told that I should be doing as many problems as possible at this point. I am reviewing, going over each sections using Secret Sauce and the notecards I’ve made. I split them up into E&S, Quant & Econ, FRA & Corp, Portfolio Man/Derivatives/Alt, and then Equity & FI. I do one of these 5 each night, and then do a short 30 question QBank quiz over them. On the days I do my exams, I do the exams in roughly 4 hours and then I review all the question.

My exam scores are fluctuating. 1 day I get 70s, one day 60’s one day back to 70s. Not only that, 1 exam I get 100% correct on derivatives, then the next mock I get in the low 60s. Same thing with fixed income, I’ll get 100% one time, then 50-60% on another day. Just hope exam day is the good day for me. My mind disappears sometimes, but when its working, it works pretty well.

My scores have been in flux as well. On one exam I got 95% on Ethics, next exam was a 75%. Yesterday I got a 100% on the income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement section of FRA in my morning exam. I got a 85% in the afternoon. My biggest problem is fixed income. I will score a 90%, then score a 60%…it makes me nervous that I have such a large flux in my scores.

Same thing for ethics, I’d get a 80-90% range for 1 mock, then 60 something for the next one. Frustrating. Need consistency Its hard to find your weak areas if you score well on one section, then bomb it the next day, then score well the following.

Yeah, I’ve been averaging the morning and afternoon scores and then reviewing my lowest scoring areas. With almost two weeks left, I am looking at the exam as a series of 5 college finals. That way I make sure to devote enough time to each section while lightly reviewing areas I’m confident in and studying heavily in areas where I am not.
