There’s sooooo much text. I’m going to focus on the equations and how to use the equations (i.e. franchise factor, GDM, etc.). Does anyone else plant to simply peruse or possibly skip certain sections in the book on asset/equity valuation? Personally, I think that unless the end of the chapters have practice problems or a summary, you’re better off just glossing that section.
I don’t know, but put your email down and I’ll email you a guaranteed way to pass if you’re interested.
@ christmas. Please guide me as well. I am also short of time and m also planning to skim or skip some LOS Regards,
IMO, those SS are not ones to skip. Yes the reading is long, but it is not as brutal as the FSA material. Short of time? You have a full 4 weeks left, find more time.
Equity is 25-45% of the exam including Alternatives…
So CFAboston, you are saying if I can ace the rest of the stuff I can blow off equities.
I am saying that do not even try to skip anything in Equities as it is the biggest chunk of the exam. That will cost you. If you want to leave then go for Quants or Econ.
You may be better off trying to get ahold of a 3rd party text for that section and read the whole thing, instead of just trying to skim the CFAI text…probably similar time requirements. Anyways, it’s kind of a crucial part of the curriculum.
For chrismaths If you could send it to me too molusco0105@yahoo.com.mx Thanks
You need to fight for every point… however, I do believe some of that “history of the markets” stuff is probably not worth reading…

So what are Alternative Assets in LII? I can think of it as being Real Estate investment, Risks of Hedge funds in the EQUITY BOOK. Anything else?
