Illusion of Knowledge vs Illusion of Control

The CFAI make a distinction between the illusion of knowledge and control. But the description of both seem very similar in that an investor uses more information which does not add value to the decision making process but results in a greater level of confidence.

Any thoughts?

Illusion of knowledge is the cause for illusion of control then leads to overconfidence.
