Guys I may be stating the obvious, but for the first timers, maybe not.

  1. Dont forget to label EVERYTHING,

If its question 5ai write that out next to your answer, but more importantly,

If it is a dual currency problem, label the currency the answer is in. If you just add it up and put 900 and there is no euro or dollar, at best you are leaving points on the table at worst you don’t get credit.

Int he return calculation if it says nominal after tax, write “6.3% nominal after tax”

Read the question and break it into its parts.

If it says Discuss the black litterman, give two reasons, and then apply it to her situation (2011 asset allocation)

That is 3 questions, not 1,

You may even write in the book

Discuss:

Blah Blah

Two Reasons:

  1. Blah

  2. Blah

Apply to her Situation:

Blah Blah…

Dont leave anything to chance…

I will literally be circling my numerical responses and putting “answer” with an arrow pointing at the answer in the circle. No reason to make the grader have to guess anything.
