in-kind redemption mutual fund and managed mutual fund

what is the def. of in kind redemption mutual fund and managed mutual fund? could not googled the defintion. Thanks.

just a guess in kind redemption - when a fund delays payment of redemption by distributing shares of individual stocks (instead of cash) managed MF - there’s a manager who buy/sells securities

libra is right as far as i know etfs will give you the underlying stocks if you provide them with a minimum amount of etfs- this is the priciple that keeps price of etfs close /at the nav managed mutual fund - actively managed not pasively -not index fund i would say
