How would you account for share of income for equity held in company with no real power to influence firm?
This will be an investment in financial assets so I am not sure how net income share will be reflected in I/S.
If you treat it as an investment in financial assets, then you don’t recognize that company’s net oncome on your income statement. All you would show would be any dividends received.
