The original big 3 - Infosys, Wipro, TCS are loosing business because they haven’t caught the next train of the ‘IT boom’ - big data which other companies have. Musgima et all are the newer companies to keep an eye out for, they have apparently recieved funding from Sequoia Capital recently. Outsourcing was just the begining, the next stage is manufacturing if the current government has it’s way.
There is much to look forward too.
yes, have a relative working at musigma. they are growing quite rapidly.
musigma and flipkart are the next two biig things in india
Flipkart is interesting. They’ve recieved a new round of funding and have a solid base but it looks like they’ll be going head to head with Amazon and Alibaba will be entering soon.
You wouldn’t really fancy anyone’s odds in that situation but we will see. Construction will be see heavy growth as the protectionist policies have been somewhat relaxed. Education will be another interesting one.
Sounds like this forum is going to get busier!
education has been probably the most profitable service sector in india for the last 10-12 years…schools and universities are mostly tax exempt and private coaching institutes too make alot of money. construction…ughh well most of the infra companies are highly indebted…our housing bubble seems to have burst…most housing complexes have high vacancy rates…the debt free ones might do well but the one’s like dfl and jp infra are having trouble… auto ancillaries seem the safest nows…most of them are still underpriced but alot would depend upon conditions in europe and us… banks too would benifit this year alot as interest rates are likely to go down
