recently in an interview i was asked what do you think could be improved about your current department. just wondering if anyone has any tips on how to answer this kind of q, because i know ur not supposed to say anything bad about ur current job or department but also if u cant come up with anything doesnt it look like u dont really have leadership or creativity skills? thanks guys!
Personally I would probably focus on the overall MOW and workflow and improving inefficiencies that you know exist in every department. That way you aren’t trashing your existing employer but showing a positive perspective and concern for the bottom line.
Talk about something that your department is already working on. For instance “we could make more money off X, so we are taking these steps and hope to improve this in the coming months”.
