I honestly do not know much about Iran. What is the situation over there? Sounds like mass protests against Islamist government. Women in the streets burning their hajibs etc.
The inflation (around 15%) mixed with an increase in taxes and unemployment (20%) has led to a general state of dissatisfaction with the regime. Yes, there are mass protests but mainly due to the government not oppressing people like they did back in 2009. The lack of any major anti-riot squads makes the whole thing look very suspicious.
I personally don’t think it’s anything that would topple the government or make any significant changes.

These protestors want the Supreme Leader to step down, and that is almost definitely not going to happen. So, I am not sure what compromise the government will be willing to consider. Most likely, they’ll just use force to suppress the protests at some point…
