Is Anyone Tired of...

Running into people studying in coffee shops or at the library who are apparently on their 12th read over of the material, have completed every Schweser and Stalla practice question and the CFAI Text questions twice? Where the hell do you people get the time? You must not actually work in finance!

Yeah, that must be it, shut up.

Or they just started much earlier than you…

most are nerds trying to get jobs…

Now it all makes so much more sense.

Yep, like Smarshy for instance, who we all have recently learned makes enough to bankroll an AF field trip to Tokyo. So anyways, stop trying to make yourself feel superior to those who studied more by making stupid assumptions.

I am not in anyway trying to make myself feel superior. I am actually feeling pretty humbled by this whole process. I’ve never failed a thing in my life besides a field sobriety test.

Considering the amount of time and money (both spent and potential raise for passing) on the line for passing the exam, why wouldn’t a person try to prepare themselves as thoroughly as possible? I sure as hell don’t want to repeat Lvl 2 next year.

leafsrule - I think I remember your posts from LI…how’s your studying coming along?

Oh I totally agree. I have been giving this thing my all. I just haven’t had the time.

Hey Lisa, yah I haven’t been around much for L2. Work is just insane these days, plus studying- means I haven’t been in the gym in 6 weeks which depresses me. Hopefully I can lock it up in the next two weeks. I managed to get the three days leading up to the exam off which will be pretty useful I assume.

I had never failed an exam in my life either untill last June…if you call borderline fail on CFA L2 a fail though… So my advice to you, if by any chance you do not make it, do not let it get you down like it did with me…or you will be facing writing again a 3rd time like I might have to…

That’s one thing that’s important, to keep in mind, a guy in my one class was asking if employers could see if you failed, which I’m not sure on, but the thing is, you would have to be a severe Dbag to look down on anyone for failing, its a very real possibility for anyone who’s not maratikus or Nibs. Just having the guts to honestly prepare for and attempt the CFA is an accomplishment.

or maybe they’re smarter than you. i mean, your name is “leafsrule”. case closed haha

Are gloves dropping, I can’t see…damn internet.

Thanks BS. Failing is still a big possibility for me. I’m impressed by everyone saying they’ve never failed anything before (I know its kind of a joke). I remember failing my first finance test in college. I got a 30% AFTER the curve.

Just to add on . . . thats why we are on AF past 11 PM on a Friday.

I failed my first accounting class in college, oddly enough, I still hate FSA

I have a feeling you did the same thing I did after that test. I had one of the best nights out that night.
