Presumably the data belong to the old firm.

If so, then, yes, you need their permission.

You can seek permission, or just make a statement that says you provide superior returns because you have a CFA designation.

Thank you S2000magician- I was thinking more on the terms whether a simple disclosure that the historic performance is from another firm would work, or we would need specific written permission to use that data.
