Is knowledge attained in CFA Level 1 studying a good tool to learn investments?

My undergraduate background is in accounting and I work as Portfolio Risk Analyst, which is not investment focused but more analysis of financial statements. I like the idea of the CFA, especially the knowledge one can learn from it and use for investing purposes. My questions is whether you Investment guru’s think that this is a good path to take to really learn these investments…
