Hey guys. Ive been doing around 180 questions a day for the last 10 days…and plan to do so till exam day from Qbank. Is that enough?..i also plan on doing the CFA mock but thats it
I would take mock exams from Schweser and/or Stalla in addition. QBank is good for quizzing but you need to simulate the real exam experience as much as possible and reading questions off a computer screen doesnt do it, IMO.
Do the sample exams from CFAI as well. It’s still doing it on the computer screen, but you get an idea of the type and difficulty of the questions from the CFAI. Also do the practice exams from Schweser if you have it. I feel the questions in the practice exams are more difficult that the qbank and probably will prepare you even better (as well as getting the feel of reading from a book and writing in the answers as mentioned above)
Exactly as dtm86 said. Complete all the samples/mocks from CFAI, and the exam books from your 3rd party supplier (if you have one). Also cue cards, videos, personal notes and this forum has additional resources that help drive home some concepts. Do everything you can.
I’ve been printing two sets of 120 questions from the Q-Bank, unchecking the basic question box so that it’s mostly advanced/ intermediate questions. I do try to abide by the 3 hour limit, and usually finish in around 2 2.5 hours. By the middle of the “afternoon” session, I am completely exhausted and it’s a struggle. I think by continuing to do these exams, I’m hoping I can build up some sort of endurance. I do, however, have one major concern. I’ve asked a few people, and they gave me the answer I wanted to hear, but I might as well ask the masses in this forum. Are the questions from the Schweser/ Stalla mock exams harder? What is the benefit from these exam books? The people I’ve asked said the advanced and intermediate questions in the Q-Bank are very similar to the Schweser mock. Another thing I was curious about; do we have access to the mock exam from December 2008? Or any years before? Thanks
