Is QBank Valuable?

After seeing the remnants of those who took L2, any CONSTRUCTIVE advice for someone who is trying to start early?

AFAIK, most of the people on here said they were pretty useless for L2.

Depends on how you use it. I believe its good a refresher if you incorporate reviews of pass sections as you progress with your studies. At the same time I had trouble trying to understand the context of the questions from QBank. So I did not incorporate Qbank as part of my study tools. Overall - it gets 2 out 5 stars for me. I passed lvl 2 this year w/o it.

It was all I used, but that’s unusual. Like me.

yes it is very very valuable. It is great to review little stuff. totally worth the money.

also, the q-bank is no substitute for EOC’s. Make sure you do those.

Perhaps useful if you get them early. You need loads of time on your hands to do those.

First time - 4000 Qbank completed - Fail Second time - 1500 Qbank completed - Pass The difference between the first and second time in terms of my qbank use was I only used qbank as a tool to refresh concepts in my head the second time through. The level of difficulty and the clarity of the questions is not on par with the exam. You should use them mainly to review little concepts everywhere. Qbank is good in that it tests every area and it keeps your skills sharp.

It’s not as valuable as level 1 where you could probably pass using nothing but Q-bank & skimming the readings. That said my strategy this time was: Skim everything in Schweser Do Q banks to isolate weak areas Dig down into weak areas Do mocks Dig down into weak areas again Do more mocks Make flash cards a week before the exam to commit to short term memory anything that I don’t know intuitively. That worked for me.

I barely used it for level 2, it’s not nearly as helpful compared to level 1

Never used it and passed. EOC were a better use of time in my opinion.

ok, how much is it by itself?

I think Qbank is quite useful. I did a couple of thousand questions out of it, but like everyone else said EOC’s are critical. Is QBank great alone? Absolutely not. Is it worth the money and time spent? Absolutely. I thought QBank contributed quite a bit to my pass by adding more things to the list that I was not getting. In summary, the more Q’s the merrier, but try to do every EOC.

I follow the consensus because I found it very helpful for LI and almost worthless for LII. I would recommend spending time on practice tests from recent years past instead, at least that’s what worked for me.

I used it religiously for level one, as it’s the same format as the test. For level two, I don’t think it truly prepares you properly. Because of this, I only maybe did a couple hundred questions. As an example, I went 25/25 on the individual EOC ethics questions. However, I typically went 4/6 or 5/6 on the item sets. I even got a 0/6 on one of them… My point is that single form questions are easier because the information is all right there, whereas in the item sets you have to glean it from the vignette. Q Bank does not prepare you for that. You wouldn’t happen to be an Arsenal fan, would you? That would be awesome.

Schweser website not clear on that…does anyone know if you can buy Qbank by itself, and how much. Else, I have to find the time to give them a call.

The Q bank can be bought seperately for $299. http://www.schweser.com/cfa/products/studytools.php I haven’t taken L2 yet so I can’t speak from my experience. But I think it was a major reason why I passed L1. 4000 Questions in the bank and you can customize it anyway you want. I manage to do over 2000 questions in 4 weeks. Money well spent!

Thanks.
