Is the Middle East in Asia?

The people who hear about them will more likely than not associate them with troubles, civil war, terrorism, corrupted royals, abuse of women’s rights, etc.

The Middle East is in the middle of the West-East and the East-East, why would it be Asia which is the East-East, why not call it Europe?

Given that the majority of American High School graduates believe that the Great Pyramids are somewhere in Europe, and that Africa is a country, I think his question is valid.

Another question, why are Europe and Asia called sepparate continents? Dood cmon that’s totally one thing man!

The Middle East is in Africa (Egypt), Europe (Turkey), and Asia (the majority).

Egypt is in Africa? WTF.

Its all one big land mass. Eurasia

Dood cmon that’s totally > one thing man! cultural reasons. the fact that 99% of all geography done in the past 2000 years was done in central europe and they had limited capacity for understanding those or the lands of asia. thus why many people label it “eurasia” like bipolar said.

Iranians != Arabs. Iranians are Persians and mostly speak Farsi. Egypt an Libya are in Africa, not the Middle East, however, they’re part of the “Arab world.” Turkey is like half European-half Middle Eastern; the type of people and culture really change as you go from West to East (so I hear).

Instanbul is in Asia and Europe. Go figure. Pointless topic. Is the Asia-Pacific region in Asia or the Pacific? Is Central America in North or South America? Why isn’t Greenland called Whiteland? What’s the capital of Burkina Faso? Everyone should really know the answer to this. It is my favourite bar general knowledge question.

Ouagadougou is the Capital of Burkina Faso. I have been there.

The middle east is in Asia (geographically). Europe becomes Asia once you cross that river (cant remember the name) in Istanbul - therefore turkey is partially in both countries as mentioned by mudda. the middle east, with the exception of Egypt, sits entirely outside Africa.

Oo waga doo goo. What’s it like? Why were you there? It seems quite random - being nowhere near a coast line and all.

It is a very rich country in minerals. the pronounciation by locals is “localised” - but westerners have issues.

in business middle east is MENA and asia is Asia…definitely not the same in my view
