I started studying a couple of days ago
Roughly:
Now - around Janary 10th: Go through all of the Schweser books except Ethics
January 11th - 15th: Review everything from the Schweser books and read secret sauce
January 16th - April: Carefully read the curriculum books for FRA, Fixed Income, and Equity in their entirety, and skim the remaining curriculum books. Also read Ethics Schweser
April - end of May: Take practice exams, go through qbank, go through EOCs, review, review and review
Am I forgetting anything? How does it look?
Passive reading only goes so far - doing EOCs does wonders for retention. Do EOCs throughtout your study for active practice. You will not run out of them. You won’t remember the answers to EOCs after moving on to other study sessions for a while. If you do somehow remember the correct answer choices after doing them enough, then begin explaining to yourself why the other answer choices are wrong.
Learn by doing.
Spend less time worrying about a strategy and more time actually studying.
Wait a second… You want to finish all schweser books for a month or less!!! Please tell me what do you do in life and how many hours a day you are willing to dedicate for studying?
So you have a five day plan then a three month plan? Just read the books, do the questions, then focus on weak areas. CFA studying is just hard work.
just bang out all the sample and EOR questions in the CFA books while reading Schweser. Repeat if you need to. Then do practice exams starting April. Then you will pass.
