I have profiles on sites such as eFinancialCareers, which I use to peruse job postings. However, I have not posted my resume to allow companies to search for me. I know our partners have, in the past, located members of our group who had their resumes posted. Do employers commonly run searches through resumes, or rely on candidates to come to them? Is your resume posted, and if so/not, what’s your rationale behind the decision?
I use, and like, Linkedin and have gotten a couple interesting headhunter contacts as a result.
