I can’t believe how many times i miss the words least or most likely, are they in italics on the exam?
No. They are in underlined and bold with 36 size font.
funny how much free time people can have in a day…
give him a break, it’s a sincere question.
Not trying to be an ass, but you should really read the questions more carefully if you’re missing those words. edit to add: I don’t know the answer to your question.
oh, i love the one liners a lot on this site, except the ones that have been used 400 times…like this one… so back to the original question… anyone?
Can’t remember…If not, why don’t you just underline the aspect of the question that you are having trouble with?
agree that reading them carefully seems to be an issue, however my question wasn’t am i reading the question carefully enough? it was simply does the question contain italics? so to be honest thats the answer that I am looking for, not really concerned about your opinion on whether I am reading the question carefully or not…
that is what I doing, thanks, I though this was going to be a simple question and answer, guess that is a lot to ask…
I’m not sure but I’m in the same boat you are. When I get rolling through a test if there several questions in a row asking “most likely” and then they throw in a “least likely” I have a tendency to ignore least and answer for most. It’s something I’m working on but it pisses me off when I know the answer and lose easy points.
Having not taken the exam, I don’t have an answer for you tmackenz. Two things I have done to help myself on this that you may find useful. It’s elementery and low tech, but it helps: Simply write a T or F next to each statement, if you do that, you should quickly see 3 go one way and one goes the other and that should remind you what answer the question is looking for. Alternatively, take the action of crossing out most or least accurate and simply write True of False above it. The action of actually writing true or false gives a good reminder I find.
I agree with Chi Paul, good tips for sure!
The exam in June was FULL of likely and least likely, most or least accurate; I too suggest when you read the questions, be sure to underline, double underline, box off, whatever works for you, such terms. Will help keep focus.
as soon as I see “least” or anything that relates to “begin mode” for valuation, I write “least” or “BGN” above the answer choices they love toying around with people like this
