I was wondering if anyone has been applying for jobs on the CFA website, just paid $47 for a three month access to apply and search for jobs, seems like I havent seen these postings online. Can anyone tell me if applying on the CFA site yield better results?
nobody applying for jobs??
What kind of jobs are you seeing? Is it good for equity research jobs? Is it primarily USA as well?
It will certainly yield better results compared to something like Monster or Indeed. I’ve seen several jobs over the past year that were only advertised on Jobline. Obviously, these firms are looking for a specific candidate (except for the stupid Ed Jones postings in every random city across the US). And yes, most of the jobs are in the US, but there are many more overseas. A few months ago, I remember seeing that UK job listings outnumbered the US by a good margin. Also, I saw that they removed the “Browse Jobs” feature which used to have a search by state/country function. That was helpful b/c you could get a quick overview of where most jobs were posted. Now you search by zip code and wade through the results. Oh well…
Is this Job board for only those who finished all the 3 levels ? I am waiting for Level 2 results and I am getting access denied
@dahcrap, you have to pay for access, Im waiting for L2 results as well and they provided access once I paid $47 U.S. for 3 month. @HankScorpio, they have everything (wealth management, corporate finance, portfolio management, investment banking, research/financial analysis, hedge funds, associate positions…) all throughout the world, Im specifically focusing on Chicago, NY and Toronto. I started applying monday, no results as of yet
i think it’s worth a few months of access. there are some quality postings (but just not enough of them!)… it also really depends on what you’re trying to seek… for example, per month, maybe there will be 2-3 quality entry level positions in the LA area…
Wow, didn’t know you had to pay for access, a la “The Ladders.” This helps weed out job spammers, though, and usually results in a higher quality applicant pool even when a nominal fee is charged.
