Guys, is it difficult to find a job in San Francisco? I love the city and I would like to move there for at least one year.
I think the job market in San Jose is decent…its not too far from SF.
SF is cool. visited last summer for a conference, first time ever. Lots of poverty on the sidewalks, but weather is tight and I liked the vibe in the nightlife. girls not uptight like NYC chicas…
I went on holiday in SF this summer…I like the city…has some European Style
“the coldest winter i ever spent was a summer in SF” mark twain and i might disagree on the weather tighness factor. fall is great, winter nice b/c not cold, but summer… it’s not really summer. go inland, sure, but brrrrrr right in the city. that said, i love SF. most of my clients are all west coast- it’s not out of the realm of possibility to see me switch coasts sometime in the next few years. we’ll see though. i’d think the job mkt there would be fairly decent still- has finance, tech, a nice bit of industry diversification.
Citi just shut down their I-banking group in SF… I’d say the market is pretty tough right now.
