How do you get a front-office financial job in the UK if you are not going through one of the standard graduate recruitment programs and you are in school? I know thats some what a generic quesiton but i mean positions in equity research (buy or sell side), corporate finance e.t.c Any good headhunters? Networking? Networking seems a lot less effective here than in North America because of the rigid way the recruitment is structured through graduate programs. I am a Level II candidate and am doing a masters at LSE Thanks.
I’d also like to know… moving to London next year and looking for short-term contract work in the industry…
