June 2015 Mock Exams

I agree. Last year I walked away not feeling like the questions were worded in a tricky way, they were asked very straight forward, but you still had to know the entire curriculum to pass. At this point I think the best you can do are mocks along with constant review focusing on the topic areas that you’re weak in on the mocks.

I just got a 58.3% on the CFAI morning 2015 mock. Been averaging mid to high 60’s and low 70’s on the Schweser…what gives?! And derivativs in the morning section was out of this world!!! Probably one of the main causes of me running out of time actually because I had like 5 minutes to do the last vingette.

I’m feeling like a lamb led to slaughter.

haha, amen, same here

I have a friend who passed level 2 never having got higher than 60% on a mock and he ended up over 70% on almost every subject on the real thing. You CAN do this without scoring over 70% on mocks right now

Everyone check out this video here at 20:00minutes up until maybe around 23:00minutes

He talks about how a 50-60% on the mock will get you a good chance of passing the actual. Scoring a 60%+ will get you a pretty good chance of getting through the exam.

I hope he’s right. Sounds relieving if it is true though.

Notice how he says “ignore all the people who scored 70 or 80% on analystforum” =P

^ love you, man. Even if Basit Shajani is wrong.

I dont know whose scoring 70-80% seriously. They must really know the material well. Each mock that I take has several questions that I am just stumped on.

58.3333% AM

75% PM

Average = 66.66666%

How do you explain this spread?!?!?!?!

I just had a look at past CFAI mocks (i.e: 2012, 2013,2014) and found out that at least 4-5 sets in CFAI 2015 mocks were taken from those past mocks. So if you want to get unbiased results, you should start with 2015 mock first…

How did you manage to get hold of all the past mocks?

I think that’s a clear “welcome to level 2”…

Great, I actually started with 2014 moving back to 2013. I was holding off 2015 until the end.

Though I started studying from late March but have managed to finish first revision, almost. Is there any difference between CFA VOLUME 1 mock and CFA VOLUME 2 mock exam, coz I attempted volume 2 after discounting quants n economics but the results were way below expectation. 70% of formulas are on the tip but not sure whats lacking, maybe another round of revision. Planning to do one mock frm Kaplan amd final frm cfa. Any suggestions

What do you mean by “volume”? There’s only one 2015 CFAI mock, just split up between a morning and afternoon session.

No there are two, infact volume 2 came out recently so I took 2 instead volume 1.

What is the second CFA mock? Where can i find it?

Last year they provided 2 full mocks but I don’t know if it is the case for this year.

Last year there was a second L1 mock but I found majority of it was just the online practice assessment questions in pdf form.

Curious about this second mock though…

I wish some of these vignettes weren’t so confusing

IIG-P entered currency swap with IIG and the risk-free rate that IIG pays IIG-P is X,etc…

Come on man!!!
