Yes this is my second time. So far I’ve done a couple schweser mocks and I think they’re good practice. I think the EOC’s that are in item set format in most of the readings are the types of questions you can expect. The exam is Probably slightly more difficult but in reality there’s nothing out there that will ever prepare you 100% for the exam. There’s going to be an item set or two that you cannot prepare for. This time around my strategy is to complete all six schweser mocks, the 2015 CFAI mock, do EOC’s once more and do the practice Q’s on CFA website. I think that should be enough but you never know what you’re going to get. I think I have a good guess of the topic weightings based on past years but you can never be sure
Hello,
I have mock exams for 2012 and 2014, and the good news is…I don’t mind sharing if you do not mind.
Could you please help with 2010 CFAI mocks? KIndly let me know, so I can gladly forward my email addy.
Thanks.
I picked Finquiz as my study companion because everyone says they are tough.
Got 38% on the first, and 50% on the second. Hoping to continue the trend.
^ pmond, you rock.
My plan is to complete the following mocks:
CFAI 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012
Schweser 3 Mocks
This was after completing 600 Qbank questions from Schweser several weeks ago to warm up.
Those CFAI mocks r repetitive… Which is disappointing
Attempted the AM 2015 mock today. I gave up with derivatives because I was running out of time and it was involved so complex calculations :(. . Got 63%. I have a hard time believing that I screwed up with derivatives cuz i dont have any problem understanding the materials.

Don’t worry - we are in the same boat.
Apparently there is a CFAI March 2014 mock exam for Level 2. Anyone know about this?
Just finished my 5th and last Schweser Mock. I am starting to worry since I am below what I was trying to get, I find that I’m stuck and the worst part is the variability of results + I don’t know how to tackle my weak areas (Econ and Deriv).
My results so far:
Vol 1 Mock 1: 30 and 41 (59%)
Vol 1 Mock 2: 42 and 36 (65%)
Vol 2 Mock 1: 34 and 44 (65%)
Vol 2 Mock 2: 39 and 40 (65.8%)
Vol 2 Mock 3: 41 and 40 (67.5%)
I am really afraid of the exam because I don’t feel comfortable. I have the feeling that if they put hard questions on FRA, Equity, etc. plus overweight the other areas (Deriv, FI, Quants), it would be a disaster for me.
Anybody on the same boat?
EDIT: after review, I had one more right on Ethics so 67.5% at the end. I see a trend on my scores, but…

Yes mate. I am getting similar results as you, although I’ve only done two mocks (no time with a full-time job). I’ve now started doing QBank to get the basics right - hopefully will start Practice Exams again next weekend.
Honestly, I think everyone is in the same boat. No matter how smart you are or how much you know, it’s really the breadth of material that’s burdensome. And particularly for certain topics (FRA, Equity) that if you miss nuances in a problem, you’ll just get those questions wrong.
Hopefully, multiple revisions (CFAI mocks, Schweser, qbanks, etc…) would help you uncover some of these issues.
I have to manage my time better. Yesterday I did the very first mock (it’s cfai 2015 movk, AM section) and found out that I was running out of time. Any strategy with time management ?

Not sure if it’ll work for others, but whenver I begin an item set I start off by reading the vignette (some people prefer to read the questions first), but whenever I get to anything involving statements, assumptions, quotes, etc. I immediately skip past the dialogue. I found that it allows me to read through the vignette in only a couple of minutes.
You’ll have to refer back to those particular sections anyway when you come across a question, so there’s no real reason to read it at first, at least for me.
Just finished the CFA 2015 mock - PM section. Funny that I killed derivatives (6/6) this time. Time was still tight but I managed to get everything done 1 or 2 minutes earlier.
Final result
AM: 63%
PM: 65%. The result could be better, I think. I made 2-3 silly mistake for misunderstanding questions. Upon puuting off my pen, I thought I would score at least 70%. Anyway, still need more practices :(.
@Mosstastic: I also don’t start with questions first. Normally I read 1-2 paragraphs of the vignette and the move to questions 1-2, then refer back to the vignette for the next questions.
I have taken 2015 CFAi mock.
Result : AM 16 incorrects, PM : 19 incorrects

So it’s equivalent to 72% and 68%. Congrats !! I made 22 incorrect for the AM and 21 for the PM :(.
Scored 66% on the CFAI mock and not sure what to make of it. I feel like there is a lot to still learn.
Just did the AM BPP mock and found myself incredibly pushed for time. Has anyone else had a go at this one? About to try the PM and see if its as equally challenging.
Only through the first two Schweser mocks. The second one, afternoon section, killed me last night. I’d like to blame starting it so late at night and being tired but I was definitely struggling and guessing on a lot of the questions. I have done pretty well on everything prior to that but nothing like one rough half mock to make me suddenly question everything!!
