Just finished Book 5. How do budget my time for next 41 days of review?

I read the schwesher books. Now I have the Secret Sauce book to read and I have Schweser flashcards and access to schweser Qbank questions. I plan I doing CFAI end of chapter problems. I would like to reread each study session but I don’t think I have time for that - but not sure how I could pass if I don’t review it all in addition to working problems. I would like to create a study schedule for next 41 days. Please any good advice how to budget my time in y 41 days study schedule would be greatly appreciated.

I am in the same boat. For each reading, I am doing the Schweser EOCs, followed by some Qbank for that section and then CFAI EOCs. The Schweser EOCs and Qbank help me nail down the concepts and the CFAI EOCs serve was the best representation of actual exam questions.

I am also going to watch Schweser videos on Accounting and Equity, since they are the biggest topics. Will try and watch videos in other places where I feel weakest as well. I plan on doing the mock and practice exams starting at 1 month out, i.e. May 1. The bulk of my learning will come from doing Q’s with supplemental help from videos, and only where really really necessary, rereading.

I’ve just got ethics left so should be done around Wednesday. Plan is to just go through all the BB/EOC/concept checkers for a couple weeks, then go hard with mocks and qbank

My plan: glance thru all books and concepts. Focus on accounting, corp fin, fixed income and equity. And skip work or “sick” a few more days in the next few more weeks

^Haha, I’m actually planning which days to be “sick” on - I feel like Mon or Fri would work best to go straight 3-days study mode, but might be a bit obvious! Lol - are you taking any PTO before the test?

Last week I can take off. Asked for 2 but only got 1 sux. I still have portfolio management to go thru hopefully by this thurs day I’ll be done. I’m taking that 3 day review from schweser but I know they gonna blow thru everything so fast and I prob forgot 80% stuff I learned 3 months ago…

I took 2 weeks off before the exam. I may knock that down to one week if I feel good at end of first week off.

What are “BB” that you mentioned above?

BB is “blue box”. It is the examples shaded in blue in CFAI books.

I am in the same boat as you guys, just finished reading Schewster. I am thinking of watching all of the vidoes then doing end of chapter CFAi and then doing 3 practise/ mock exams.

Unfortunatly work has me beat, working ridicolous hours So I only get to study roughly 10-12 hours a week. Can anybody advise me one what plan of study would be best? Do you guys think the all of the videos are worth it?

Investmentrookie- pretty shitty situation. I’d think working through the blue boxes (both CFAI and Schweser) would be the best way to review the material, and if you really apply yourself you can probably get through all of them in the next 1-2 weeks. That could refresh all the material, and leave you around 3 weeks to do all the EOC’s and concept checkers. Personally I’d suggest videos might be a waste of time as you don’t get the hands-on practice that most people go for at this point (ie working through problems).

And if you absolutely can’t get time off work, sick days might be in order (can easily take consecutive days off if its a “bad” flu). I’m a big fan of integrity so don’t really like this route, but sometimes you need to weigh if a couple days work are worth the last 6 months of study and $1500 having been for nothing.

Thanks for the advice.

Becoming a charterholder is in your employers best interest too, and the sooner the better (although it also makes you more marketable to other potential employers…wink wink). Taking a non-sick-sick-day does not really cross the “integrity border” as other commenter suggest. Sick time is really for unplanned personal issues, regardless.

By glance through are you going to reread much of what you have already read? I want to but I don’t think I have time to do that… but I’m fearful if I don’t I won’t pass the exam.

I am at a similar stage. BB and EOC really helped me in Level 1 so it is a must do here as well. Target is to finish that in 2 weeks time. Then, start with 3 hours a day mock for a few days and do a couple of 6 hours mock - that’s week 3 in May. Last week is all about going through the notes and cheat sheets for formulas.

Hope that should work out!

Im with him, taking a couple sick days to study will do wonders for your mental health if youre as stressed about it as I am. Def counts as a sick day to fix that issue imo. Mental health is equally important if not moreso than physical health imo.

Good plan, but sounds a bit aggressive, especially if you work f/t?

If you don’t get any days off, consider just “living” at work the entire time… I think I read a post about doing that last year.

Qbanks FTW. I’m on my 2nd pass, doing last year’s Schweser videos & Qbank questions. I got 69% on my first SS 5 quiz, but 100% on my 2nd!

I guess, that’s true. But I ain’t working, so that’s my plan of action.
