Any of you Level II candidates here?
This is in Canada, right? I don’t see that many Canadians posting to the forums which is surprising since Canada is a breeding ground for everything CFA. Just out of curiosity, how big is the pool?
Personally, I just can’t fathom taking off a week and holing myself for a quick review at L2 or L3. Maybe if I was desperate… :).
Yes: Windsor, ON; across the Detroit River from . . . Detroit.
I don’t know the exact numbers, but it’s a few hundred, I’d estimate. I suspect that the lion’s share of the candidates are from the States, but there are people from all over: Canada, USA, Europe.
I wouldn’t have done this as a candidate – indeed, I didn’t – but there are many for whom this is exactly the setting they need to focus their attention.
Unfortunately the whole thing is too pricey for my company to cover, however they did cover a schweser 3 day boot camp I am going to this weekend. Any suggestions on how to make the most of it?
If you already have the workbook (Exam Workshop Questions), I’d encourage you to start on those now; that way, if there are some you don’t quite get, you can ask questions in class.
Where are you taking it? Do you know who’s teaching?
Boston, email is telling me the instructor is Jeff Chang for level II.
Maybe ill do some of the problems tonight as it starts tomorrow. Wish I would of thought of that earlier!
U know the guy S2000?
I decided it would be in my best interest to stay put and bang out some practice exams. I am already tired enough from working all day, so traveling right now would probably make it worse. Gotta bring the scores above 70%.
Nope.
Sorry.
Best of luck. Work hard.
I did WW for level 1. Good instructors (Holmes really) and made some good friends, but it’s not much value for $$ beyond that IMO. Have fun, the Thursday night party is epic.
GG
I just met Andy Holmes a couple of weeks ago in Toronto. We’re getting along famously. He threatened to mail his Jack Russell terrier to my wife. She checks the porch every day, but so far, no box with holes.
Hommie is the man. If he and Peter Olinto started thier own study provider firm it would destroy the others.
I love Holmes!
Do you think they’d let me tag along?
If you joined the HH would rise well beyond 2000, triggering an immediate challenge by the regulatory authorities
LOL!
