I live in South Korea. My books didn’t arrive nor did I get a text from UPS with a tracking number. I called Kaplan just now and they gave me a tracking number… Turns out my books are in Johannesburg, South Africa! Why? Their stupid system shows NA for zip code/area code if you live outside the US and UPS has dutifully recognised it as ZA which is apparently Johannesburg. Kaplan people are still trying to figure out what’s wrong although it’s pretty evident to me what’s wrong. Those of you who live outside the US might want to check if UPS has recognised your zip codes correctly. I can’t believe we are paying loads of $$$ to Kaplan trusting them to provide us with high quality study material when their staff can’t tell the difference between NA and ZA.
This happened to me once trying to get my CFA materials. I live in Canada, the books ended up somewhere in the Caribbean. It took the CFA distibution center (can’t remember what it’s called) over a month to rectify the problem. I was pretty p!ssed to say the least.
If they expect me to wait a month for them to fix this issue, they are going to discover what a pissed off Korean woman is like! Sending books to a certain address shouldn’t be so hard… these dumbbutts!
Kaplan is far more competent than the goofballs at the CFA distribution center. Just call them and I’m sure you’ll have your stuff in a few days.
