SwaptionG and I will get hammering on W@ll St. Prep in about a month. Ch@d actively blocks the website, so I can’t post a link, but do some googling, you’ll find it. A few of you have expressed interest lately. Swaption and I wish to try and get an email chain going for support, q&a, etc regarding the self study course. Feel free to drop your info below, but it would be best to simply drop an email to quantjockmba at g m a i l. Ch@d actively deletes posts about W.S.P. since he created a competitive product fetch or something. Put the L2 knowledge to use with some dcf/lbo modeling.
my boss emailed me today and said, “please get your series 24 asap” plus, i’m no analyst and have no intentions of ever going down that road. i’m just a schmoozer who likes to pain myself with this exam and talk shop sometimes. i swear, i do this for you dorks. i don’t really need this for my job at all and i do just fine $$-wise. dcf/lbo modeling sounds like my personal h&ll. enjoy boys. i have to learn boring securities regulations next.
ps- the only WSP i know is widespread panic, and now that it’s summer and they’re touring with the allmans, i best get me some tickets.
Good luck on the 24, I’ve heard it’s no picnic. I used STC for the 7 way back when. But I hated dialin’ and smilin’.
I may have to take 7 and 63 in next 3 months.
7 and 63 are a joke. I had to do them both in april while studying for level 2… not fun, but hopefully i passed all 3
after this test, honestly, do you think the 24 is going to be hard? it’s just dry, boring material… rules and regs… blah. boston- the 7 will take you a few weeks to study for, maybe less since you know options- that’s like 1/2 of the test. the 63 is a light weekend read. just take them semi-seriously- we just canned a kid who failed his 7 a few times. his bad.
cake compared to Level 2. You’ll breeze through it…7 has more options strategy stuff that may be new to you. Series 24 is manager-related, correct? Banni’s a manager, moving on up to the eastside I see. It’s a shame I forgot most of my Series 86/87 stuff, the 87 would have helped with the ROS part of Ethics…though 86 was more L1-based.
muni bonds are a huge part of series 7 too
24 is to supervise/manage a branch. i can only read this from bossy as “i want to take a vaca soon… pls get this so we can be in compliance”. i have my 8 (now it’s a 9 & 10), similar. boooooooring. have my 7, 63, 4 (but what would i know about gain/gains in options, you know, just an options principal and ex options trader), and 55. just another number, great. still not confident that i cleared L2.
If you have the WSP premium package and want to start after 3/4 weeks from now - do drop an email to us at swaptiongamma@gmail.com and quantjockmba at g m a i l.c o m
Are you doing the WSP live classes? I did the self study about a year ago but forgot most of it since I never apply it in my current role.
I have this. Guys I’m in

I picked this up during the gap between Dec 08 and results. Got started but didn’t finish before I had to start studying for level II. think I’ll start from scratch and join you guys.
Looks gnarly. Thanks for some great advice!
