L2 registration now available

Gonna get early bird special this time around. $600 bones for e-book version. I might wait until the weekend to get started though.

You should buy hard copy too… I did not and I had to print out a lot of pages…

i would not want to write in the books though so i end up printing out certain pages anyway. I did L-1 studying all on iPad and only printed the EOC questions. Also saved all books as PDF in case I want to ever look at them again (ebooks expire after a few years)

Just signed up and got both the print and ebook versions - plan to do most studying on iPad but also use Schweser and print out what I need to. “This email confirms your registration for the CFA Program. Congratulations: you are now a CFA candidate.”

When I registered for L1, there wasn’t a big difference in getting both Ebook and hard cover. It was $30 if I remember correctly. How much is the difference this time?

Using Vitalsource you can print to a PDF. They limit you to 170 pages at a time but still worth it as you can have a permanent copy and then just combine the PDFs for each volume after they are saved.

i also found the vitalsource sucks. I opened it once or 2 and never went back to it

Ah … Now i remember, my problem was that vitalsource was showing me the size of each book as 100 - 500 mb. impossible to download on my isp. unless vitalsource converts to pdf at the server. and the pdf is much smaller in size. its going to be the dead-tree version for me.

Not saying Vitalsource is the best e-reader but i like the ability to quickly search for something electronically.

So ebook only is $610 and print + ebook is $680 $70 additional (plus shipping I think) for the hard copies.

I am an OCD when it comes to annotation: Marks, scratch, scribble, doodle, underlines, highlights, dog tails and of course notes to remember. To the point that no one else can ever make sense of what the original text was. I am not sure if I will be able to do this in electronic format. But feel guilty for my reliance on the dead-tree and want to move to electronic format because of that. Think will go with print + ebook to give it a shot.
