I am L2 retaker, should I buy the new L2 books or just order the online ebook version? Pls advise

It’s different for everyone. I don’t know about you but I’m in Excel, CapIQ, etc… for quite a bit each day and I really don’t want to stare at another computer screen once I’m home. I much prefer the hard copy books.

Plus, the cost difference is only about $40-$50, right?
Its not abt the cost, but if they 95% same (2010 and 2011 books), why buy them uneccesarily? My only concern is that the books shouldnt be more than 90 % different…THose who have seen the new and the old ones may have a better idea… Pls advise!
Why do you want to take the chances for some material (however small is) not covered? If I were you, I would set the old books aside and buy the new ones and no need to wonder what are the differences.
Hey All, I’m retaking in 2011 and was passed along the differences between the 2 curriculums from a good guy who just passed into L3. Go Here : http://www.finquiz.com/cfa_level_2_curriculum_changes_2010_2011 This should be helpful for any retakers to hone in on changes (see FSA) or people using dated study materials. As for me, I will be going with the hard copy of the books. In the end I believe the $40 is well worth having the physical text and maintaining it for future reference. Hope this helps!!
