I’m seeing a lot of eerily similar headlines that I saw with Bear Stearns: Fear Mounts, Liquidity Crisis, Capital Worries, etc… I think if LEH goes under a lot of people won’t even bat an eye. Just another casualty to cart off the battlefield.

Bush, Putin and a few other hooligan underlings who know some 3+ syllable words decided that at the start of the Olympics, while the masses are feeling good, they’ll let Russia have Georgia with no interference (other than nasty comments), in exchange for Georgia, oil will drop to $100, the dollar will stage a headfake rally at gold’s expense, the treasury will take out fannie & freddie and 1 more big investment bank will be sacrificed. This will set the stage for an election rally and a feel good ending to bush’s term.
