passed, 7 > 70%, AI and Equity 51-70% and Eco < 50% ( I knew I wasn’t so good at eco, but I didn’t expect so bad… :slight_smile: )

Could you guys maybe share your tips on passing the exam? I mean study tips…what made the difference and what did not?

I am currently studying with CFA books and plan on buying Schweser QBank…

Some success stories would be helpful!

I used the Shweser notes and Test Bank. Test bank q’s are easy but wording is key. I feel its a great prep tool. Personally wouldnt bother on buying the CFA Institue print out notes. They are handy online for more clarity, but Shweser notes is all you need.

The Q Bank and the Mock Exams are a great call to get though! Good Luck

Probably not a typical example but I started studying two weeks before exam day. (12+ hours per day) I read Schweser notes only, completed most of the CFA EOC questions, and did one CFA mock. Craming everything right before the exam and relying on short-term memory works pretty well for me.

Passed with 50-70% in Ethics, and Quant, the rest >70%. I ran out of time to understand Quant so I just skimmed through the whole chapter.

Hey Benmar – I Read and studied CFA curriculum from start to finish and Created flashcards to memorize all formulas. Also took 3 mocks.

Passed 1st attempt Dec 2015 with: CF, Deriv, Equity, FRA >70% and all others 51-70%

I am very blessed to pass the Dec level exam with “photo finish”

>70% Only ethics and corp finance

51 to 70% alt, derivatives, econ, equity, fin reporting, fixed inc and quant

<50%: portfolio mgmt

To those who did not make it, don’t be discouraged. Try again! I just barely passed.
