Here are some tips to boost your confidence for the exam: Level 2 is not much harder than level 1 if you are prepared well. You can miss 36 questions and still pass the exam without any problem. So even if you miss couple of questions at the end, still you may be able to pass. Suppose you have 1 minute and 2 questions left. If you know you can get the 1st one correct if you spend 1 minute and no clue about the second one, attend that question and leave the second one rather than trying to attend both. If you have no clue about one question, try to answer it at the end rather than spending 5 or 10 minutes on it. Remember you can miss up to 36. The CFA institute knows that you get approx. 3 minutes/question. You have to read the question, process information, do the calculation and then answer within 3 minutes. So my guess is that there will not be tough questions that take more than 3 minutes average. Since the CFA institute informs that the books published by them cover all the exam materials, there may not be any questions tougher than the end of chapter and in chapter problems in those books. I never used Schweser but saw harder questions in Schweser than those in the CFA books. Why bother about something, which you may not need. One fellow said he finished both AM and PM in 1.5 hours and passed. Good for him, but I don’t care. My objective is to pass the exam, so I will use the entire 6 hours. Even if you can finish one session within 1.5 hours, go back and double-check everything. You may be able to score more. Even if the AM session is tough (say you scored only 55%), don’t worry. Focus and try to score 85% (you can still miss 9 in the PM) in the PM session. You will average 70%. I will tell the remaining later including how to memorize formulas without much problem.
