Level II Ethics--CFAI books?

For Level I, the advice for those on this board who solely used Schweser rather than reading the CFAI text was to still read the Ethics section from the CFAI text. For Level II, is the advice still the same–to read the Ethics from CFAI books in addition to Schweser because Schweser doesn’t do a good job? What about just reading the new Ethics material? I know that Ethics on Level II is weighted less than it was on Level I, so that part of the reason why I am asking. Thank you in advance.

Re-read all the ethics from CFAI. It gets much trickier at level 2. Trust me, I know…over 70 on L1, less than 50 L2. : )

so is the consensus that cfai ethics is a necessary complement to schweser ethics?

thoughts?

just read CFAI ethics. It’s not that long.

How long did it take you? I haven’t even looked at ethics yet - I’ve been completely putting it off (prefer the numerical questions!)

Well there are Readings 1 & 2 which are exactly the same as L1. So if you read like a few hours, you can get that all done. Or if you’re confident you still remember it from L1, you can skim or skip or read Schweser. Then there are like 5 more short (i.e. 10 pages or so) readings which you could finish in a few hours. So I would say if you devote one weekend day you could finish all of Ethics from the CFAI books and have time left over to review other stuff.

Do you guys recommend rereading ethics on the last 1 or 2 days before the exam? This was highly recommended on the Level I forum last year.

They arent that hard to remember if you take your time an go through them once, you should be alright… It is less stressful and tiring on your brain if you just read that stuff the days before the exam instead of doing formulas, thats why people would recommeng it then. But def look at it now and then…

an good, thats exactly what I wanted to hear. I’ll give it a good go one weekend and have a quick review the day before the exam
