Level of detail for required return on IPS?

So I’ve found some conflicting information that’s pretty frustrating

2010 am Question 1 goes into a lot of detail on their required return statement - includes what the goal amount is, how much she’ll need to retire, and how much she’ll be able to contribute. the second part of the 12 minute question asks for the calculation (which is no problem)

In other tests the return requirement section is much more vague, stating things as simple as “Fund their retirement and pay for kids tuition.” I remember one with a man looking to buy a vacation home and boat and I noted the difference in primary and secondary goals in my nswer, but it was too much detail and they should have just been combined according to the model.

How in depth do you get on these?
