Hi all, I am trying to come up with a list of textbooks that would help in preparing for Level II but also be reference materials beyond the CFA exams. I know the CFA curriculum books are the main source for the exam but I generally find the source texts very helpful. The list I have so far is: 1. Damodaran on Valuation 2. Futures, Options and Derivatives - Hull 3. Handbook of Fixed Income Securities - Fabozzi 4. Bond Markets Analysis and Strategies - Fabozzi Any others that would be helpful for the other topics?

I think your question should only be about reference texts for use outside of prepping for the exam. For exam prep, the CFAI texts are all you need and are voluminous enough that getting through them alone is hard enough without trying to add more to it.

Porter 1979 (AKA Porter’s Five Forces) is in the material and the questions can be surprisingly tricky. Fabozzi material is in the FI section, but I can’t remember which text it’s lifed from. Solnik & McLeavey readings are spattered throughout material as currency is a large aspect of L2.
