I’m using Schweser and was browsing through past CFAi sample exams and they seem a lot less complicated…does anyone feel like they are overstudying for relatively short, conceptual questions? May has some great weather and NYC has some awesome rooftop bars =)
I haven’t looked at them yet. But I guess, if they are easier than Schweser, then you will surely pass the real exam. S
i don’t feel like taking any chances. after all the time and money i’ve put into this so far, another month of not going out on the weekends won’t be that bad.
I agree you probably don’t want to take any chance. Think of the alternatives. studying and fail- a slight kick in the ass for not being efficient, blame the system, and get back into it. Stop studying and fail - I don’t even want to think of how much i’ll be kicking my own ass if that happens… I don’t think it’s technically possible to over study for level 1. This is just the first of 3 so you should be expecting overlaps onto the next level.
I completely agree with XCK2000. I cannot imagine relaxing now and losing the exam after putting so much efforts.
Any section in the CFAI that has multiple choice questions is relatively easy. But what are your thoughts on sections such as session 9, which ask you to do full blown out calculations and other tasks. I find these questions to be very time consuming and difficult. Also, the book doesn’t always explain how it got certain answers.
Keep studying. Those bars and great weather will be there in 6 weeks.

XK, I really like you’re attitude, keep it up, and think of how good it’ll feel to log in when results come out and see “LEVEL I: PASS!”. Moreover, you’re dead on about the overlap, knowing your L1 stuff inside out will cut the new material exposure by almost half in L2 and let you focus on the truly difficult material. So overstudying, which I’m not sure is possible will at the very least add to your chances now and lighten the burden for L2 which is a fairly painful experience. I also agree with your input regarding the difference between failing knowing that you did your best in the time you had versus failing and feeling like an idiot for shooting yourself in the foot in the final weeks.

I’ll take responsibility for reminding you Comm. Aside from all this Level 1 talk, I wanted to see how much studying you were going to do June 8th for Level 2? I figured I would get to bed early on the 7th to be well rested for some Level 2 Schweser Videos first thing Sunday morning. Depending how much I get done, I may even start QBank that same evening. commstudent Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I someone to remind me multiple times a day. > > KJH Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > JoeyDVivre Wrote: > > > -------------------------------------------------- > > > ----- > > > Keep studying.
