LOS command words from essay exam's perspective

Hello,

I have seen in earlier posts, where people suggested to master the LOS command words. When you see CFA EOCs, you will find answers accordingly (for things like Explain, Demonstrate, Analyze etc) but for the exam context when I solved the Scheswer pratice exams, I observed that only very limited LOS command words have been used (similar case for CFA essay exam) and the Scheswer answers were very similar pattern (as brief as possible to covey the answer) and pattern does not change much based upon command word. Does anyone else have similar feeling?

From my experience, the Schweser AM practice exams reveal very little about how to properly answer a question. So, I wouldn’t trust it.

A lot of the command words sound very much alike (describe, explain, discuss, etc.). I don’t think that knowing the subtle differences is all that important. And when you take the test, the give you a “cheat sheet” with definitions anyway.

Focus on the actual past exams published by CFA. Understand their answer language. That will help you a lot more.
