Anyone taking notes per Los’s? Someone had posted them last year, but I can’t find them. I could do mine, but it is taking a long time. I guess stalla study guides are written by Los’s, so I can reference there but…and of course there is always the flashcards, I guess. What about schweser secret sauce; is it a review per Los’s - those of you that have used it before. cheers!
I have used secret sauce it aint done by Los’s its more like a review of all the important core concepts! so in theory it covers all Los but its not actually organized per los …wonder if that makes sense nambie ka hujaelewa!! ha ha its fun to mix in kiswahili!
Hello Note taking is of course a personal preference, but as you have mentioned, I found it to be a time killer! Here is my plan on studying, which i am using schweser: 1). as I’m reading the book highlight areas I find important so I can reference them easy when I go back to review. this is much easier and less stressful than trying to take tons of notes 2). if I have something i want to write down i feel is important, I write it in the schweser book. this also helps having all materials in one location, makes it feel more organized. 3). Hit Qbank and answer questions on the study session… you will notice anyone that has taken this test recomends answering lots of questions, so this is more important 4). go back through secret sauce to pick up key topics while studying other sections so you don’t forget what you learned. also do some review questions on the study sessions you did periodicly. like i said, note taking is a personal preference but, if too much focus is placed on it, it can take away from more important things, like answering lots of questions.
Great…but does anyone where/has the Los’s written out…someone had them posted last year - have used the search engine bt i still cannot them. Cheers!
@23 adam: My strategy for note taking is to go onto the schweser website and there is a function called “browse los” I then copy and paste each of the los into Word. Then while reading through the cfai text I add things to what I have copied from the website. They don’t give you much to work with so I add alot to them but I feel it helps me stay on track with me note taking. Also, anytime I find schweser has left a section out I summarize it and add it to the notes. You have to find what works for you but taking notes definitely helps me a lot. Ps if you have the CD version of Qbank I think it has the same “browse los” function
thanks phx, i will try this approach. using stalla - but will check out the schweser website.
