standard of living is more important but once you cap out. its better to financially richer. anyways people dont actually vote based on their income. they are more likely to vote due to their generation (older is repub), or race (white is repub).
for example, a republican should be a young wealthy person with a high income that would want to pay lower taxes, and lower social services for poorer people so that future deficits and their taxes which will be their liabiltieis will be curbed. they usually take risk, hire productive people, underpay them, profit the difference, and minimize their taxes. anyways to be a part of this class a typical family of three should have an income of 250k or 95th percentile. (125k per person). in reality their political affiliation can go either way.
on the other hand, a democrat should be an old poor sickly person who has 4 kids that also have 4 kids that are all sickly and poor. they pay almost nothing in taxes and take on many social services/ they use medicare/medical to live longer, and welfare/social security to sustain their life. most of these people are mnimum wage workers, unemployed, sickly, reproductive, or have some form of an ever expanding definition of a disability. household income of less than 30k. or the bottom 25 percent. most old people should be democrats since they are the biggest benefactors of ss/medicare which is rouhgly 50% of us budget. political affiliation of poor people is democrat.
now the middle class who envy the rich people for their material things and hate the poor people because they are useless and lazy are paid enough by the rich people to have a good life because they are skilled and useful. these people should be democrat, but many of them are either content or think they are rich or can become rich so they might go republican. but in reality they dont pay as much in taxes as they cost. they also hate the useless people who just wants free crap. a majority of them think it is uneducated blacks and hispanics, but in truth it is really old white people that is living of their hard work. in reality their political affiliation can go either way.
anyways whats interesting is most minorities vote democrat which make sense. but the majority of hte population right now is white. now most whites vote republican which makes sense because whites are only 2nd in income to asians. but as i mentioned before, it is only slightly richer, so no matter your race, in terms of taxes, you are as much a free loader to the rich. in addition most whites are really old at about 60 years old and are prolly collecting the free money that is paid by young rich whites/asians. so the key in all this analysis. most white people are old, benefit from ss/medicare, yet are still republican.
so its funny. we are literally paying old people to live longer so that they can vote down the taxes needed to keep them alive. i am curious to see if these old people will live long enough to get their benefits cut or if they will just cut the benefits of the baby boomers. or the gen xers. anyways im sure by the time us millenials retire, the boomers would be dead. but millineials are not making enough babies either. so we need a better immigration system where we import hot smart chicks with high income (i hear the scandinavian countries are prime targets).
