Making a Murderer

Well, admitting to raping someone to his prison buddies would make him a rapist, providing he was telling the truth.

My point was Making a Murderer is a fantastic documentary but entirely one-sided. There was absolutely some railroading going on by the county and the cops certainly did some shady stuff. But, before we all sign petitions for a Presidential pardon, perhaps we should look at this from the other side too?

His cousin though, even if he is guilty, should not be in a maximum security prison. And, he really does deserve a new trial. I really don’t understand how he got so screwed over by his attorney and the courts did nothing to provide him a fair shot.

what i’m most confused about is how can the supposed ringleader of this rape and murder only be charged with murder while the supposed accomplice gets charged with rape and murder? i mean, the law system is supposed to be logical right?

^ There was no evidence of rape. There was no physical evidence against Brendan at all. Brendan was convicted entirely based on his “confession” which was not used in Avery’s trial.

I don’t understand how the jury could have come to an honest conclusion that Avery was proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. There are so many questions left unanswered. I don’t believe that either of them should be in jail right now simply because I don’t believe that they were proven guilty. I hope that with time they are both granted retrials.

Anybody who comes to a conclusion based on a “documentary” with an agenda is an idiot.

Spoilers

So many unsavoury characters packed into this story. None more so than Ken Kratz.

To a domestic abuse victim:

“Hey…Miss Communication, what’s the sticking point? Your low-self esteem and you fear you can’t play in my big sandbox?”

“I’m the atty. I have the $350,000 house. I have the 6-figure career. You may be the tall, young, hot nymph, but I am the prize.”

Is a 6 figure USD career much to brag about anyway? that guy on here makes that in muni interest in a week…

I also learned from this series that it’s possible to get fat in prison.

When you’re in a tiny cell for 23 hours a day, there’s not a lot of room for cardio.

“Hey what ya doooooing?”

“NUUUUTIIIN”

You calling me obtuse?

I just assumed that prisoners in maximum security prisons only got 3 meals a day of basic cheap food.

“hey ma”

“Yeah?”

“Yeah?”

“Yeah”

“can you send me more cookies”

The agenda of the documentary is straighforward. The justice system is a sham. It is filled with corruption. All the way to the top, as exemplified when the State Attorney General ruled that there was no misconduct (against the findings of the two special agents from the Justice Dept). She, the AG, was later driven out of office for DUI and misusing state property for personal use.

Dean Stang, one of the defense attorneys said it best, “Just a tragic lack of humility of everyone who participates in our criminal justice system.”

@ inkybinky, it is a documentary and everyone everywhere has an agenda. Your comment didn’t add any value to the topic.

^I was probably inappropriately happy when I heard this. I mean, he very well may have played in that girl’s blood, but he got so screwed by the people that were supposed to be helping him.

Now he can finally go to Wrestlemania.

Yes! I am happy with the decision. He isn’t out yet though. Prosecution has 90 days to decide if they want to retry the case, but without the “confession” this time.

SEASON 2 OUT SOON… hot digiddy!!!
