I count 5 attacks in 2017 on that map. How is that one attack every 9 days? The last I checked, we’re 144 days into 2017. Going back to Monday, that’s 142 days, or an attack every 28 days (rounded). That’s way too often, but it isn’t every 9 days. What am I missing?
I think they only showed the ones with casulties on the map, did not include attacks that were foiled or simply attempted without any injuries. Who knows how many others that went unreported.
Gotcha. So basically the graphic is only semi-relevant to the headline. I guess it would have been too much work for them to create a graphic with the 15 attacks they list in the article. Typical journalism in 2017.
