when calculate marginal cost of capital, given the long term debt ratio, preferred stock ratio, common equity ratio, ---- the capital structure. should I apply retained earnings cost with common equity ratio? or common stock cost with common equity ratio? Thanks
Not sure what you mean by retained earnings cost, but… use cost of common equity with the common equity ratio to arrive at your answer? Sounds like it might be common stock cost in your post.
