Do any of you know of a decent masters in accounting program that does not require taking the GMAT.
none to my knowledge…
my alma mater, Binghamton University, allows it if you are undergrad Accounting and matriculated before December 1, with at least a 3.2 GPA for its 1 year MS Accounting program.
I did masters in FE without taking GMAT, but I also did my undergrad studies at the same school. As far as I know, GMAT is a must for any grad program.
I did a Ph.D. in Statistics and never took the Math GRE. I took Psychology GRE’s, enrolled in the Psychology program, then switched to Statistics. Possibly you can do a switch into business school? (It’s probably much more difficult to switch into business school than from one Ph.D. program to another within the same graduate school). Of course, you could just not be such a wuss and take your GMAT’s. Nothing says you have to study for them so this could just be an investment of a few hours of time.
If I am going to take it, I am going to study to crush it, I just dont want to put in the time on irrelevant stuff. I have a problem with half asssing things. I am going to do it, just was hoping there was a way around it. Thanks.
my wifes college allows undergrads to go right into mba if they had over 3.25 in undergrad biz school. I dont think the b school is ranked so the program will hurting for students.
I think Universities that offer a 3/2 accounting program don’t require you to take the GMAT. By 3/2 I mean one is awarded a masters degree in five years, right after high school. So, one year is saved.
Some MFins don’t require a GMAT if you have Level 3, then maybe switch ala JDV’s idea.
MattLikesANalysis - Do you know the names of any of those schools. Thanks
you can get into Columbia masters in mathematical finance program if your grades are good and you can stand out from competition
